Shortly after I watched the Blank Panther movie, I was beyond motivated. I humbly understand the impact of the film for not only the african-american community but the visual and music components raised so much awareness within urban culture. You know that feeling you get when you are watching something and thinking "ugh, I wish that was me, or I wish I could have created something for that". Welp, that's how I felt...I immediately went home and told myself: "Man I could have made a record for the score on that file"...

I cannot express how much this man has influenced my appreciation of music and how his sound inspires my own creations. The fact that Mike Dean is from Texas only makes it all that much better. Some may know of Mike, and others may only know of his music without even knowing but whether it's Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Travis Scott, Scarface, Kid Cudi, Janet Jackson...should I continue??? I'll include his work a little later (keep reading)...
Socrates Howard - New York City Oct. 2016
My #1 artistic expression and first creative love is and will ALWAYS be music. I can't really put into words both written or verbally, how the power of music ignites my body and soul. Coming from a music talent and literally experiencing/listening to music my entire childhood honestly made me run away from it as a child. But even then, I had signs of the art of music. My parents put my sister in piano theory classes, and me being the boy, that wasn't an immediate action. Since 2000 I've produced several pieces for artists, film, media, TV, hell even elevator and restaurant music. But when I moved to New York, NY back around 2008 there was one genre of music that changed my life...Read more to find out and hear about the sonic addiction.

The component of this record has a sultry and gritty sonic vibe mixed with lyrical hip hop progression of the ins/outs of what many go through in the relationship department...read more to listen and see the visual
