New music alert in full motion from one of my latest collaborations; I connected with a go to writing and music collaborator, J-Fleez for his new single release "Real One" off his upcoming mixtape "Exhaust Every Avenue", which just so happens to be produced by Socrates Howard. The component of this record has a sultry and gritty sonic vibe mixed with lyrical hip hop progression of the ins/outs of what many go through in the relationship department...read more to listen and see the visual Hailing from Queens, NY J-Fleez is no gimmick or chant driven rapper. I met J-Fleez a few years back and immediately put him to the creative table. Our first collaboration was actually a record for another artist and in the r&B/soul realm of music. He co-wrote what turned out to be a great song titled "Dreams of the City". Shortly after, we began collaborating on his own projects and created the first record "Patience" which was pretty much a test to challenge his comfort zone. I wanted to take him out of his normal arena and push him to a whole new realm of musical creation. Like a champ, he stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the ballpark. This ultimately led into several collaborations such as noticeable records Keep The Change & James St. Patrick...and also a great friendship. This brings us to the latest single from J-Fleez mixtape "Exhaust Every Avenue" - titled Real One; the single touches on the rollercoaster of relationships. We all go through the ups/downs of being intertwined with our emotions and loving someone. The beauty of this record is the overall sonic and lyrical approach. Produced by me :), the music undertone sets the mood and J-Fleez ignites the feel with how he wrote this one. I literally sent him a reference of the production and he emailed me in hours with his thought on the entire son. A few days later, this relatable song was created. Take a listen and look at the visual.
